Phil Connors is a pretty awful guy.
But when the cynical Pittsburgh TV weatherman is sent to cover the eccentric annual Groundhog Day event in the small town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, he finds himself caught in a time loop that sends him on a hilarious path to enlightenment and redemption.

Andy Karl reprises his role which earned him an Olivier Award as Phil Connors.

Show lived up to and exceeded expectation. Cast were very professional. I would also like to add that the staff at the Old Vic Theatre were all very helpful, friendly and looked very happy in their jobs!

Superb production from start to finish! The trip 200 miles to see it was SO worth it! The Old Vic is a stunning venue!
Entertaining but too loud. Some excellent staging, but overall not as good or memorable as the film, although the production did bring out some darker themes, which was interesting. Music not memorable and too generic in style.
Loved the soundtrack prior to booking, and knew I would love the show. My whole family was blown away by the incredible production value, and the intelligent story-telling. It is such a human story, and the cast do justice to a brilliant script. Tim Minchin is a brilliant word-smith, and his work always delivers humour and emotional poignancy. Could watch this show 100 times and still not pick up all of the details, such is the attention to detail and brilliance of the show. Thank you to everyone involved.
