Giles Ralston Mollie’s husband and co-proprietor of the manor, Giles is protective, proud, and a little quick to point fingers. His aloofness can be chalked up to the stress of hosting under extreme weather… or it might be something darker. A man with a strong sense of privacy and the occasional flare of jealousy, Giles has a temper that could boil over at the worst possible time. Christopher Wren An exuberant, jittery young man with a love for architecture and a flair for the eccentric, Christopher Wren is immediately memorable — and that’s exactly how he likes it. But his erratic behaviour and sudden outbursts make the other guests uneasy. He’s either harmlessly odd… or hiding something too big for even him to control. Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap continues its unparalleled run at London's St. Martin's Theatre, captivating audiences with its intricate plot and rich history. Since its West End debut on November 25, 1952, the play has achieved remarkable milestones, including over 29,000 performances and more than 10 million tickets sold. In 1974, the production seamlessly transferred from the Ambassadors Theatre to St. Martin's Theatre without missing a single performance, showcasing the dedication of its team. To date, The Mousetrap has featured no fewer than 297 actors and actresses. Notably, David Raven holds the Guinness World Record as the 'Most Durable Actor' for his 4,575 performances as Major Metcalf, and the late Nancy Seabrooke set a record with her 15-year tenure as an understudy. Under the direction of Philip Franks, who joined the production as director in May 2024, this enigmatic ensemble cast continues to uphold the legacy of The Mousetrap, bringing the eccentric cast of characters to life (and death) each night. The current cast brings fresh energy and talent to this timeless classic: Who plays Mollie Ralston in The Mousetrap? Saranna Parlone takes on the role of Mollie Ralston. Her previous credits include Magic at the Musicals (Royal Albert Hall) and Tim Rice: My Life in Musicals (London Palladium). Ben Riddle brings a dynamic energy to the stage in his performance as Giles Ralston. Stefan Chanyaem leaps into the shoes of the enigmatic and eccentric Christopher Wren. Chanyaem’s previous credits include; Macbeth and another Agatha Christie mystery, And Then There Were None. Dugald Bruce-Lockhart brings charisma and intrigue to the role of Mr. Paravicini. And The 39 Steps.  Who plays Detective Sergeant Trotter in The Mousetrap? Ben Galvin steps into the role of Detective Sergeant Trotter, bringing determination and intensity to the character. Since opening its doors in 1916, this historic venue has been home to countless unforgettable performances, including the legendary long-running show The Mousetrap.  With a capacity of just over 550 seats, every show at St Martin's is an intimate experience. If you're planning a visit to witness the magic on stage, choosing the perfect seat can make all the difference. To ensure you have an optimal view of the captivating performances, keep reading to discover which seat will offer you the best vantage point and make your night truly memorable. What are the best seats at the St. Martin's Theatre? Starting with the Stalls, Row G seats are widely considered the most desirable in the theatre, thanks to the generous legroom provided by the aisle in front and an outstanding view of the full stage. However, the last three rows do experience some partial obstruction of the view due to the overhang from the Dress Circle. Up in the Dress Circle, the rake provides excellent views even from the back row, but the front two rows offer some of the best sightlines in the theatre. Due to the more intimate scale of St Martin’s Theatre, the Dress Circle feels closer to the stage compared to larger West End venues. However, as with many historic theatres, legroom can be a bit limited. The Upper Circle provides the most budget-friendly tickets in the theatre. Views from this section can feel distant, and the first few rows may be partially obstructed by a safety rail. Legroom tends to be quite cramped. Row H, while the furthest from the stage, offers slightly better legroom than most of the Upper Circle, making it a good option for taller patrons who are mindful of their budget. The eco-friendly thespian loves nothing more than enjoying the capital in bloom, taking in the wisteria and bluebells (and taking home any rubbish) on his journey to St Martin’s Theatre. However, he may not have been making this commute if it wasn’t for his clean-shaven take on the Major! “The first thing [my wife] asked me when I found out I got the part was ‘would I have to grow any facial hair’. When I said No, she said I could do the job!” So, he was a whisker away from not clinching the part, literally! Nearly 600 additional arts organisations have received support from the UK Government's Culture Recover Fund amounting to about £76 million. The announcement comes after the first round of funding in the amount of £257 million was provided to 1,385 organisations last week.

Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap will no longer be re-opening for socially distanced performances this autumn, it has been announced. The production was due to recommence performances at St Martin's Theatre from 24 October but has now made the difficult decision to postpone the show's restart date until further notice. Ticketholders will be contacted by their point of sale to arrange for a credit note or full refund.
