Davey has seen something he can never forget. Anita has been forced to flee her home. Tonight, they meet for the first time... and their lives will change forever.

Philip Ridley's modern classic was a huge success when it premiered at the Hampstead Theatre in 2001, and a West End smash in 2007. Thrilling, heartbreaking and darkly humorous by turns, it is now seen as one of the most powerful explorations of hate crime - and society's need to crush 'difference' - ever written.

Alex Moreira

Very engaging play

Robert

Fantastic. So intense. Great performances. I don’t think I breathed out for 90 minutes- which passed so quickly. Amazing honour to have seen this.

cilla

Brilliant production. Excellent convincing and powerful performances from both actors, and effective minimal set

Max Mangilli-Climpson

Most enjoyable Both actors totally on the ball

Allan Hill

Superb writing and excellent acting. Totally believable characters that ooze humour, angst and emotion as you eavesdrop on their conversation, their stories gradually being revealed with genuine feeling right up to the highly charged conclusion.

Elena Bottino

Very intense! Unbelievable performance.

Berlin Traveller

A searing, soaring production. Wonderful writing, wonderful direction, wonderful acting. And it helps us understand lives beyond our own in a gripping, compassionate, moving and often humorous way. I highly recommend seeing Vincent River.

Trevor Stammers

A stunning two-hander which gripped for most of its 90 mins. A masterclass of acting too. Superbly crafted writing apart from 5 mins towards the end which seemed totally unlikely in an otherwise very convincing story.

Anna Bradley

This was one of the best plays I have seen; intimate, brilliant acting and extremely moving. I highly recommend seeing it.

S Henderson

Powerfully and superbly acted, exquisite writing. Highly recommeded
